Mimi And The Mountain Dragon is the story about a village that quakes in feature of the mighty Mountain Dragon One winter a shy little girl called Mimi finds a baby dragon asleep in her family woodshed Mimi takes the perilous journey through the blizzard and darkness to return the baby dragon to her mother whom all the villagers fear
Following an introduction by the awardwinning writer himself Sir Michael Morpurgo the film is narrated throughout by an original score by Oscarwinning composer Rachel Portman performed by the BBC Philharmonic and featuring singers from the Hallé’s family of choirs The animation is based on original drawings by Emily Gravett and has been adapted for the screen by novelist poet and playwright Owen Sheers
